GLP-1 medications slow gastric emptying by design. This is the mechanism that creates fullness. The same mechanism changes how much food, and how much fiber, reaches the organisms living further down. Stomach acid is the reason gastroprotective delivery has been studied at all. TAKE Flora delivers 40 billion CFU across four strains named to the strain code, in a MAKTREK Bi-Pass gastroprotective format.

When Digestion Changes, Balance Matters More.

GLP-1 medications slow gastric emptying by design. For many people, that also means digestion feels different, sometimes for the duration of treatment.

The gut microbiome is sensitive to changes in food intake, dietary diversity, and digestion speed. Eating less means eating less fiber, and fiber is what these organisms live on.*

TAKE Flora was formulated to help support and maintain that balance.*

Delivery is the part most probiotics ignore.TAKE Flora was built around it.

Stomach acid degrades most probiotic cultures before they reach the intestinal tract. Flora uses MAKTREK Bi-Pass Technology, a patented marine polysaccharide delivery system, to help protect probiotic strains through digestion so they reach where they are intended to work.

Beyond Standard Probiotics

Ingredient Breakdown

40 Billion CFU, Four Strains, Named To The CodeLactobacillus acidophilus (La-14), Bifidobacterium lactis (Bl-04), Lactobacillus plantarum (Lp-115), and Lactobacillus paracasei (Lpc-37). We publish the strain designations, not just the species names, because probiotic research is done on strains rather than species. Two bottles can both say Lactobacillus acidophilus and contain entirely different cultures. Most products on the shelf will not tell you which one you are getting. This one does.
MAKTREK Bi-Pass TechnologyA patented marine polysaccharide delivery system designed to help protect probiotic cultures through stomach acid so they arrive where they are intended to work. Delivery is the part of this category with the clearest rationale behind it, which is why we chose a format built around it.
Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) 24mgIncluded as a synbiotic component: a prebiotic packaged with the cultures it supports. Worth knowing what it is and is not for. This is not a dietary fiber serving, which is a different job measured in grams rather than milligrams, and Flora is not a prebiotic supplement. If daily fiber is what you are after, that is food, or the 3,000mg of psyllium in TAKE Flow.

How To Take It

ServingThe 40 billion CFU figure is per serving through end of shelf life, and a serving is two capsules. One during the day and one in the evening. Do not exceed two capsules per day. 60 capsules per bottle, which is 30 days. Store in a cool, dry place.
Spacing from TAKE FlowFlow contains 3,000mg of psyllium husk. Soluble fiber taken at the same time can interfere with delivery, so if you take both, leave at least two hours between them.

Common Questions

Does Ozempic hurt your gut bacteria?GLP-1 medications slow gastric emptying, which changes the environment gut bacteria depend on and can affect microbiome balance. This is a mechanical effect of slower digestion, not direct damage to bacteria.*
Why does the strain code matter?Because probiotic research is done on strains, not species. Two bottles can both say Lactobacillus acidophilus and contain entirely different cultures with entirely different evidence behind them. La-14, Bl-04, Lp-115 and Lpc-37 are documented, identifiable strains, and publishing those codes is what lets you look them up rather than take our word for it.*
Does Flora contain prebiotics? It contains 24mg of fructooligosaccharide, included as a synbiotic component alongside the four strains. That is a milligram amount packaged with the cultures it supports, not a dietary prebiotic dose, which is measured in grams, so Flora is not a prebiotic supplement and we will not sell it as one. If daily fiber is what you want, that is food or the psyllium in TAKE Flow.*
What should I look for in a probiotic on a GLP-1?A protected delivery system and published strain designations. Stomach acid is a known obstacle to probiotic delivery, which is why gastroprotective formats have been studied, and strain codes are what let you check what you are actually taking. TAKE Flora has both.*
Which strains are in TAKE Flora?Four: Lactobacillus acidophilus (La-14), Bifidobacterium lactis (Bl-04), Lactobacillus plantarum (Lp-115), and Lactobacillus paracasei (Lpc-37).*
Can I take Flora and Flow together?Leave at least two hours between them. Flow contains 3,000mg of psyllium husk, and soluble fiber taken alongside a probiotic can interfere with delivery.*
